Snyder County – Bridge Inspection Program

 

As the appointed County Engineer, Wilson Consulting performs all biennial NBIS Inspections.

 

The work includes:

  • Field Inspections
  • Report Preparation
  • Load Rating Analysis (posting recommendations)
  • Underwater Inspections
  • Interim Inspections
  • Owner/Consultant Meetings

 

All work is done in accordance with Federal and State standards for bridge inspections.  Final reports are provided on 16mm microfilm for archiving.

 

All work (inspection and reports) are completed in 2 months from start.  Reports are provided four weeks after inspection is complete.

 

As County Engineer, work also includes coordination with PENNDOT and the MPO (SEDA-COG) in prioritizing, planning and programming for funding of critical bridges.

 

Wilson provides a final inspection summary at the conclusion of each two-year cycle.  This summary indicates, general condition rating, appraisal rating, maintenance needs, sufficiency rating, posting, ADT and program status.
